The X50 service, operated by Stagecoach Manchester, is the new express bus link to Manchester Piccadilly, offering journey times of just 25 minutes. The service runs every 30 minutes from early till late, 363 days a year, and is provided using specially branded modern low floor easy-access buses.

By Road
The Trafford Centre is conveniently located close to junctions 9 and 10 on the M60, making it very accessible to car users. The 10,000 free parking spaces are a huge draw to customers as they offer the convenience of on-site parking completely free of charge.

By Bus
Chorlton Street Coach Station is the main bus station in Manchester and it's located right around many of the Manchester city centre hotels, between Chinatown and The Village on Chorlton Street. Some buses have student discounts and if you ask the city's inhabitants, they will advise you to take any bus, avoiding the ones operated by Stagecoach, and that way you will keep your price ticket under £1. Bus tickets are purchased from the driver, a FirstDay ticket costing £4.
By Taxi
The taxis in Manchester are considered cheaper than in London. You should be able to travel anywhere within the city for £5 to £10. Tourists are advised to avoid rogue mini cabs. It is required to book a taxi by phone in order to catch one. If you need to travel further in Manchester, it may be best to agree on a price in advance, because it's cheaper, but it won't always work. Doing so, it is not legal. The general rule is that the meter to be turned on for any trip.
By Train
Most of the train routes pass through Piccadilly or Victoria, and a'Rail Ranger' ticket cost about £4 per day. Train services from Piccadilly are serving the airport all night. Up to 6 trains per hour connect the airport to Piccadilly Station, in the city centre of Manchester. The airport is linked to 100 destinations across North England and beyond, using the train service. Traveling by train is considered to be relaxing by a large number of people in Manchester.
By Tram
Metrolink is Manchester's mass-transit system. Currently, it runs on two lines: Altrincham-Bury and Piccadilly-Eccles. It is not considered the best way to travel inside Manchester and that's because it's expensive. If you do decide to travel by tram, and plan more than one journey in a day, your best shot is a Metromax ticket. The tickets can be purchased from the machines at each station in advance, and change is not guaranteed for over £7.
